Underwood Returns to Locana to Further Spearhead Locana’s SAP partnership and Oversee the Company’s Investment in Its Mobile GIS Solution LemurTM as an SAP® Endorsed App
GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO (February 7, 2023) — Locana, an international leader in spatial technology, today announced that consultant Mike Underwood, who previously worked for the company as an Senior Vice President over a decade ago, has returned to the company as its SAP Ecosystem Global Go-to-Market Lead. In his new role, he will lead Locana’s SAP partnership, and focus on the geoenablement of SAP customers in asset industries, including Utilities, Public Sector and Oil and Gas.

In addition, Locana today announced that SAP has premium certified its Lemur mobile GIS solution as an SAP Endorsed App. It is available on SAP® Store as part of SAP’s industry cloud portfolio for the Energy and Natural Resources and Public Sector industries. Lemur and SAP Service and Asset Manager integrate on-device without requiring a network connection. Lemur also provides native alignment with Esri’s latest software versions and deployment patterns. Built on Esri’s ArcGIS Runtime API, Lemur supports Esri’s named user licensing with dynamic activation from mobile users’ ArcGIS credentials. In his role as SAP Ecosystem Go-to-Market Lead, Underwood will be responsible for teaming with SAP to drive Lemur Endorsed App sales globally.
Underwood has been Principal for his consulting firm, Spatial Business Innovations, for the past six years, serving SAP as its Spatial Go-to-Market lead in North America. Previously, he served SAP as Global Head of Services Sales for SAP Public Sector, and as US Practice Lead for Federal, Aerospace and Defense. Prior to SAP, he served as a Senior Vice President at Locana, as well as Senior Vice President for CH2M Hill, from which Locana divested in 2009. Early in his career, Underwood served in various sales and management roles for Oracle and Digital Equipment Corporation.
