Locana Names Tommy Acers Principal Consultant and Gas Utilities Lead

Previous Locana Employee Acers Returns to the Company to Continue Growth and Momentum in the Gas Utilities Sector

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO (February 1, 2023) — Locana, an international leader in spatial technology, today announced that former employee Tommy Acers has rejoined the company as Principal Consultant and Gas Utilities Lead at Locana. In this role, he will work closely with gas utilities to help them transition from legacy software to fully integrated, modern GIS and connecting their systems and data into an intuitive mapping format for optimized decision support. Acers is based in Las Vegas.

In his role as leader of Locana’s gas utility business, Acers will contribute to the company’s near-term and long-term gas utility strategy by supporting technical staff on designing reliable, adaptable, and innovative geospatial solutions for Locana clients. He will be responsible for driving the company’s gas utility sales and marketing and chartering new projects and delivery teams through project initiation and design. He will help identify new patterns that take advantage of the ArcGIS on HANA infrastructure and develop best practices for it.

Acers has worked in the gas utilities sector for nearly two decades. He returns to Locana from Southwest Gas Corporation in Las Vegas. Previously, Acers had a long career at Metropolitan Utilities District in Omaha, NE. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems at Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE.
