Why did Locana attend Project Controls Expo?
Our knowledgeable experts at Locana came prepared with data and experience to dive into the intricacies of project controls. From critical path analysis to risk mitigation, we aimed to share, learn, and challenge traditional practices.
The Locana team connected with fellow practitioners, software experts, and industry thought leaders. We formed partnerships, exchanged business cards, and planted the seeds of collaboration.
Nine members of the Locana team attended the event over two days, taking advantage of the opportunity to listen to sessions on complex program delivery, earned value, and the true value of outsourcing project controls IT, among other topics.
At our booth, Locana hosted a project controls surgery, offering existing and potential practitioners the chance to ask us anything. We engaged in meaningful conversations about different project controls IT architectures, solutions, implementation strategies, and maintaining bug-free environments. We also discussed topics such as patching, version control, and ongoing support.

Celebrating our customers success at the Project Controls Awards
Locana was honored to attend the PCE Awards Evening alongside more than 100 other industry professionals. We were proud to host our client, Costain, at our table and celebrate their double win:
Jonathon Kennedy, a Costain P3M consultant — was named UK Project Management Apprentice of the Year for demonstrating exceptional technical and leadership skills throughout his Project Management and Controls apprenticeship. Jonathon oversees two projects valued over £4m and co-leads a £30m scheme with a colleague as part of a Defence joint venture program.
Jon Bibby, Costain’s Planning Manager — received the recognition of Global Project Controls Professional of the Year. Jon was praised for his outstanding leadership and contagious enthusiasm for Project Controls. Congratulations!
